Campus Crusade for Christ has changed their name. They will now be called “CRU.”
I read the discussion on the name change on their site. It appears the employees of the organization are in favor of the change and see nothing wrong with it, while many supports and other outsiders are offended by the change. This makes me wonder, if the change of name is a reflection of the leadership and staff of CCC. Perhaps in many ways Christ has been gone from this organization for a long time and the name is just now catching up.
